I needed a good laugh this morning. If it makes anyone feel better, McCain / Palin won the Heritage Elementary School election last week 440-215. I'm trying not to underestimate the silent majority, the people who are out there that no pollster ever talks to and no reporter ever writes about. A co-worker went to a naming ceremony type thing at a huge evangelical church a month or so ago (they don't believe in baptising infants, so it's just kind of an introduction of a new baby) and there was a kiosk in the mega-church lobby signing up new voters. She says her sister-in-law told her they had 2500 takers just in this election cycle.
